Brad Schultz specializes in broadcast news and sports and has written nine textbooks and authored nearly two dozen journal articles dealing mainly with sports broadcasting and how new technologies affect journalism practice. Schultz is the founding editor of the Journal of Sports Media, a scholarly journal that publishes twice yearly. He has produced several documentaries, including one which won a national Aurora Award in 2010. Before entering academia, Schultz spent 15 years in local television news and sports as an anchor, reporter, producer, news director, videographer and writer. He received a Ph.D. from Texas Tech University. Ed Arke has over 30 years of broadcast experience including high school football and basketball play-by-play, college basketball and baseball, and as a sports anchor for Radio Pennsylvania. Dr. Arke holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Duquesne University and a M.S. in Communication from Shippensburg University. In addition, he serves as the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative and a Professor of Communication at Messiah College. Dr. Arke is the Faculty Director of The Pulse: Messiah College’s Media Hub.

I purchased ILTS Principal as Instructional Leader (195 and 196) Exam. I would rate the product as a 5! It has really helped me. I found the practice helpful but also the study guide information in the front of the guide. This gave me some topics to go back to once I had re-taken the practice and still needed some refresher in particular topics. The only thing that would make the booklet any better would be if when checking the answers and explanations in the back of the practice test, it also offered the page number where you could review the information to match the question in the review from the front of the book.

The study guide was very detailed and helpful. It provided me with significant strategies that were key to my success in passing the exams. It's like having everything in "one stop shop".

This book was a great help in reviewing for the principal exam. If you are taking the test I would get this before you take it the first time. I made a mistake and waited until I took it the firs time.

Helped me pass both sections of the IL 195 and 196 tests on the first try with some prep but not much!

I have found this study guide very useful in understanding the objectives of these two tests. It gives much more information compared to the study guides provided by the state. I also appreciate the test taking tips and the practice test with explanations.

Very fascinating! Couldn't put the book down. I especially love and appreciate it even more when it was written by someone who lived during the earlier time of when she personally experienced these epidemics and how she was able to see first hand the different results between modern medicine at that time compared to homeopathic treatment with these diseases.

I always enjoy reading about real remedies for healing. This book give people another option other than the vaccines offered these days. I’d recommend studying homeopathy and this book if you’re questioning vaccines. and don’t know about other options.

This is the best book I've read on epidemic and childhood illnesses. It's a must have.

This book has been known for decades and the esteemed physician, Dr. Dorothy Shepherd, makes explicit claims about the possibility of treating epidemic disease with Homeopathic methodologies and treatments. In addition, Shepherd also outlines the possibility of utilization of Homeopathic remediation as an active agent for prophylaxis for certain epidemic disease. She gives, for example, explicit example of her utilization of various Homeopathic remedies for simple, dramatic, and apparently, effective treatment of cases of whooping cough in children. And she goes on to mention her attempts, apparently successful, to utilize Homeopathic remedies for the prevention of whooping cough.It is long overdue that claims of this kind get the scientific attention and studies that they deserve. The peremptory dismissal of such claims on merely theoretical grounds, subsumes a non-existent level of knowledge and does little more than assuage the ego of the armchair scientist, pseudo sceptic and doctrinaire anti-alternative medicine crusader, eager to write the next "best" seller about how it is all nonsense and that people like Dr. Shepherd were out to "fool" everyone.A more rational approach to these cases is to acknowledge the long experience and dedication of the Doctor, admit that some sort of curative effect is likely operative rather than descend to the easy and non-thinking paternalization of placebo claims, and then begin to organize and call for the proper scientific analysis of what could potentially be a major medical breakthrough. That such a breakthrough might prove anathema to vaccine manufacturers and "guardians" of "conventional" medicine, is of no consequence and no influence on the potential of the preventative and curative medicine which Shepherd proposes.Until that scientific analysis is done, the ideas and practices proposed in the book will remain a tantalizing and intriguing possibility, still utilized by those with the courage to step into the realm of the unknown, and still disparaged by those who lack that courage.

The stuff in this box is extremely disappointing. The pregen sheets are flimsy and poorly built, and the 'starter adventure' is basically a single combat scene with some ideas on how things might go forward. The dice are just normal dice, no Shadowrun colors or theme at all. The box also comes with a single chapter from a shadowrun novel, and a few excerpts from the book.It was cheap, but all in all, I'd rather have just bought the core book.

Still not a "drop in" experience that my players would like. The world is still interesting, the rules are still "complex". Quite a bit of background reading that the GM and players need to read before being able to play.

Enough to play a single session. The most value in this box is the set of six-sided dice. The game seems interesting and I do usually enjoy tabletop experiences... there's just not enough here to go on.

It's a fair introduction to Shadowrun if you've never played it, but lacks any depth or replayability. It includes one short battle and is designed to get you into the combat rules without having to deal with all the other aspects. Many of the rules are vague or unclear in some circumstances. If you've never played Shadowrun, want to try it, and can get this for cheap, it's probably worth it, just realize you'll never touch the Beginner Box again and will have to buy the official rulebook to continue.

This is a decent starter pack to get into Shadowrun. It is a rather large box for a handful of books and no dice were included with the set even though the contents list dice. I'm new to Shadowrun and tabletop RPGs so I'm not sure how it stands up to other products.

The beginner's box set comes with a set of 12 simple dice, full color and spill resistant pre-made character sheets, a sample book of the first 6 chapters of Fire and Frost, a Quick Start rule set, and a Stuffer Shack version of the Food Fight mission, a solo-mission for the Face, and a world background guide.This comes in a box that is flimsy, which means it won't endure much travel or use. Boxes for these sets should be more like modern tabletop game boxes.The character sheets are great for tables that might encounter spills. The Fire and Frost sample definitely interested me in the novel series.The quick start rule set is good for introducing players to the Shadowrun's basics. The world guide contains mostly the world's introduction in the core book. The mission contained inside is actually a good encounter, and definitely can be done within one session.Overall, for less than 20 bucks you have an introductory set that stands up to other RPGs; although the flimsy box, quick start rules, and world guide are evidence of hasty design and construction. This set should be a bridge between the boardgame world and Pen and Paper, and it falls short - but it doesn't fall as short as the overpriced Alphaware Toolkit.I only recommend this for anyone that is nicely capitalized and has a group to introduce the game to. You may not see more than a few uses out of this product, but it's good if you need fodder for ideas or a sample of materials in the franchise.
