This is a must read for direct sales people. It is well written and contains some valuable information to survive and be successful in the direct sales industry.

This was the first book I read when I started in Network Marketing a year ago. I read it, made the same mistakes Worre said not to do, bult a small business. I made about $700 my first month and after about 3 months of work consistently made $50-$100 a month. Then I stopped working the business for about a year. The $50-$100 kept coming in (because of the type of business, very few customers drop out once they become customers). I wanted to re-commit to the business, so I started listening to the audio book. I started seeing what I was doing wrong. Eric would occasional weigh in with comments like "m ost distributors do this. Don't do that!" kind of advice that spoke directly to me.I started listening about two weeks or so ago. In that time I picked up a bunch of customers, a new team member and I went from begging people to do presentations to having 3 presentations/week (so 6 so far, one new associate, one person doing his due diligence, and more presentations scheduled).Obviously, a lot of that change came from my own experience. But this book (along with others, but this was the best for me) helped me make sense of my experience.Of course the book isn't perfect. It could certainly benefit by showing how social media can fit in to your tool kit-- and this is something that Worre does go into outside of his book. Also his online trainings and videos fill in a lot of the gaps, such has his "blitz" strategies that I've seen other people use to go right to the top of our organization in a very short time.But Eric's motto is "not perfect, but better". So far, I haven't met perfect. But I also haven't met better than Worre. Get the book, but don't stop here. It's only a piece of the puzzle.

I have a direct sales company and this book has helped me and my husband boost our companies. I highly recommend this book to those who are looking to boost their companies through network marketing

I thought the book was great. For the people that thought that it was for the camera. May god bless you. The book gives steps but you have to tailor it to yourself when implementing the steps. MLM is not a pyramid scheme, well most are not. How is damn near every job out there??? Store/ business owner -> manager -> assistant managers -> leads -> then all the low level pawns that make the big wig the money. Does the CEO show you how to do his job? If anything, this industry of NM helps you become a better you!Good day to you all.

I seriously COULD NOT PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!If you are in any type of networking marketing this book is the ultimate guide to success. So well written, relateable and a ton of info in a small amount of reading. I purchased this as part of a network marketing class that I was taking with weekly meetings. This was are reading "requirement" I'm so glad I purchased.. My only regret is that I bought the kindle version. I WISH I would have bought myself a hard copy!! I may still do that!!! LOVE! BUY THIS YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!

This is an incredible easy book to read that is filled with lots of tips and tools that can help you move from a place you may be uncomfortable to a better place. The GoPro tips will help me jump start my business as well as provide the guidance on how to get to that next level. I loved that Eric shared his successes and challenges in a fairly easy to understand and sometimes amusing way. This book was a very good read. It met and exceeded my expectation. It is holistic in its approach beginning with defining sin, kicking against the goads to the overarching theme of whoever resists the authority that God has set in place resists God. We have to honor positions of authority beyond personality, whether we think they should have the position or not. We should not slander governmental authority as this action is antichrist. We are to be respectful to the office they hold because God put them there. Even if you think they are not behaving correctly honor them, God is the one who brings judgment. If you are dissatisfied with your leaders you will complain, and complaining leads to insubordinate behavior. Criticizing authority shows a lack of the fear of the Lord.I highly recommend this book. We have to learn God’s order and submission to authority and obedience is God’s way. We must be willing and obedient.

I can not find anywhere in the New Testament that pastors have any more authority than anyone else. ... But in Americanized christianity, the "pastor" has been put on a throne that the Word does not establish. Undercover encourages the idea that a pastor’s opinion is equal to God’s word. The pastor hears from God and then translates it to you. Anyone can decide one day they heard from God, start a church, and they are immediately Moses. As your spiritual authority they become your interpreter of God’s voice. Terrible decisions and horrible treatment can be justified by merely saying “God told me some things.” It can also give instant weight to whatever the “Man of God” says. Undercover even threatens you with divine retribution for speaking up about mistreatment while promising divine reward for remaining quiet and “submitted to authority”. The authority’s offense does not matter to God but your response does. This is open season for abuse and is not biblical. Jesus himself preached much more sternly against the hypocritical “pastors” of his day (Matt 23:2) than he ever did a believer daring to question authority. Yet Mr Bevere gave no examples of divine retribution for bad leaders as they damage life after life. I guess God’s punishment is reserved for those of us that do not have pastor in front of our name. This creates a perfect environment for spiritual abuse.

EVERYONE should read this. As a leader, my first required reading for team members is this book, after the bible. Most people don't know how to submit to authority. Most see authority as someone trying to "tell them what to do", not recognizing their behavior as rebellion. This teaches EVERYONE how and when to submit to authority. I have given this book away countless times and just ordered 2 more copies.

Just when I read chapter 13, my first test came. And I failed! But to God be the Glory for bringing my mind back to Him, after my anger subsided! Wow! I now know that I am not as humble and obedient to authority as I thought I was! I thank God for His Grace and Mercy! Amen! I am a work in progress, as they say! I will keep fighting for my salvation until the day I die! Whew!

I gave this book 5 stars because John Bevere knows what he is talking about by the Spirit of God's WordNot by his own personal revelations or FEELINGS but by the Word of God and the experiences God placed him to understand His Word about authority in the churchRomans 13 give you a glimpse of God's word for those commenting John Bevere keeps using Old Testatment and John don't know what he's talking about and 1 Corinthians 11 about order and even Romans 12:4-5 where we are many members but one body and every member has it's own functionGod is a God of order and just like the military, school system and even our own household we have different ranksMy children will never run my household because 1. It's my household and I set the rules and 2. They are children and they are not capable of running a household and 3. How does it look for a child to discipline a parentBut this happens in the Christian churches of American todayWe can follow the order and commands in other places but churchHahahaha the devil got us fooled and this is where Proverbs 5:23, Hosea 4:6, Job 36:12 & Proverbs 10:21---We are destroyed because of our lack of knowledgeI find it amazing how we would pay hundreds, thousands and in many cases tens of thousand of dollars to go listen to a celebrity/motivational speaker, watch a game or even a concert but when it comes to God's anointed ones just to give a dollar offering we complain and say, "It's not God." (I only made his statement because some of the reviews also complained about giving money to the preachers, etc.)So in the end I ask:Can a student teach the teacher?Can a coach be coached by a team player?Can a child discipline a parent?And, yes, we have corrupt pastors, preachers, etc.We also have corrupt politicians, police officers, teachers, waiters, celebrities, etc. etc. and I'm sure you are still voting for them, using them for protection, teaching your children, serving your meal and watching their movies/listening to their CDsOkay I wrote enough in the end if you want the heart and mind of God when it comes down to authority in the body of ChristGET THIS BOOK :-)Thank you and God bless

All I can say is dont waste your time. Read Rob Bell's book" what is the Bible" cause once you see, you cant unsee and once you taste, you cant un taste. Life is a beautiful thing. Stop searching for his covering when its already there. Go enjoy this world that God intended for us to enjoy.

This book was not what I initially thought it would be, it was better! Through scriptural teaching, Under Cover exposes our vulnerability when we do not obey and submit to authority. This book took me to whole new level of understanding in this area. Thank you for obeying the Lord and writing this book. Highly recommend.

In Joshua Foer's book, Moonwalking with Einstein, Joshua raves about Tony's memory skills and his use of the Memory Palace to do so. So I was intrigued to learn more about memory techniques and found Tony's book. While perhaps I purchased too quickly as it was not about the Memory Palace, but rather Mind Mapping, I was still intrigued so I read it. After the first 25% of the book providing an introduction I was expecting to learn how to create a memory map. Ditto after 50%. Ditto after 80%. But all it was until that point was just bravado about how Mind Mapping can be used for everything known to mankind, short of curing cancer . . . although giving Tony more pages I am sure he would take credit for that. I won't fault Tony, but the Kindle version is useless. After 80% of the book when he finally (and I say finally with exasperation) gets into creating a memory map and showing examples, it is impossible to read on a Kindle. My next step is going on line to see what he was talking about. I don't doubt Tony's memorization skills nor that a Mind Map is a valuable tool in some (and even many) applications. But I was extremely disappointed with the book and had I known and was interested in the subject of Mind Mapping, I would search for another author that can skip to the chase and explain what it is and how to use it. Note: I'd give it 1 star but I did seem Mind Maps in the book so I will go online to see what they are.

The idea can be passed in a moment. The rest of the book is examples and exercises to help you master it. I got frustrated by my software, so will go back to doing this by hand to master it. Though some of the maps he calls out as exemplars are baffling to me. I’m giving it 4*’s until I practice.

I enjoy reading Tony's book, wish he could send me his memory palace paper.

Mind mapping is a technique, not a cult--or so I thought. But the author's hyperbolic language, his relentless self-promotion, his insistence on adherence to the "Laws," and the warnings about false prophets and their idols (the concept map or, saints preserve us, the sunburst diagram) are very offputting. And, as with many self-help books, the salient information could be conveyed in about half the space. That said, the book is appealingly designed and does contain some useful information.

Brian K Vaughn disappeared from writing comics for a few years, but he has returned with a vengeance with this series. The first trade was good, but it was very broad and introduced a host of characters (like a good volume 1 should). Volume 2 begins to really develop the story and characters, and we are already rewarded with an interesting story, believable characters (on all sides of the conflict), good dialogue and wonderful art.This is easily one of the 5 best trades of 2013.

I will admit that some of these the contemporary imagery used for civilian life and use of elements of current society feel a bit too twee, but the story is well developed, the characters remain likable and oddly human considering how inhuman and magical the society actually is. The narrative voice of Hazel is more developed, and the use of flashbacks works well to enrich the character. Some of the dialogue is slightly too cute--think early Kevin Smith or Diablo Cody--but the richness of the characters or a humanizing piece of development pops into the story before that becomes overly distracting. One of the things I will give Vaughan is that both male and female characters are rounded, powerful, and nobody is a stereotypical anything. Even the "villains" are, in the main, charming and have realistic motivations.I particularly like Izabel, Gwendolyn, and the Will as secondary characters as they are in many ways more interesting than the protagonists.

SAGA by Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples uses their second arc to tell the love story between Alana and Marko, and it actually makes sense! Chapter 7, "Dad grew up on WREATH, a magical moon locked in endless conflict with LANDFALL, the very planet it orbited." So we have the classic Capulet v Montague rivalry, here. "We are small, but the universe is not." Or as Linus Van Pelt once said, "There is no battle too big that I cannot run away from it!" But SAGA is about the trouble you cannot hide from because life refuses to leave lovers alone like that. Chapter 8, "I sometime forget, but mom and dad had lives long before I ever came into the picture. They had dreams that had nothing to do with whether or not I'd grow up to be an acrobat or a brain surgeon. They had their own hopes. They had their own desires. And then, against all odds, they found the perfect person to share everything with." The universality of that statement, even though Marko was Alana's prisoner, cuts through the specificity of SAGA's narrative. If there's no heat between Alana and Marko then what are they running for? (But enough about about Darth and Padma, ahem.) Marko's father Barr says to Alana, "Hazel is fine. She stopped crying the instant I put her into that absurd pile of things you call a crib." Holy Nativity, Batman! But beyond the Biblical allusion, this young family is in a desperate situation. "There is no way that I'm this lucky. My father-in-law is a seamstress?" Costume changes in comic books usually happen because a new artist has come on board, but Fiona Staples realized that going forward Alana needed clothes appropriate for her situation. Chapter 9, "Hiya, Mama Cellulite." This insult slung at a female pimp is the feminine sensibility of this series at its best: no guy would say anything about cellulite before pulling out a gun. Slave girl says, "Thataway." Each chapter of SAGA opens with a splash page and closes with a splash page, this closing has a child pointing directly at us the reader and reminds us that the stakes are always about life and death for all creatures big and small. Chapter 10, "Yeah, dad always had a way with the ladies." Marko's transition from prisoner to love muffin is critical, but Brian K. Vaughan's male protagonists (as in Y: THE LAST MAN) are often the only c*** for miles around, so they don't need to work that hard to get some. Izabel returns in high style, "Yeah, that's right. Flee in terror, bitches!" Fiona Staples has designed alien witches to scatter away that are spooky as hell. Izabel is none too happy with Marko's mom Klara, "You're the old crone who sent me to this dump, aren't you?" Well, yeah, but that afforded Barr precious time to bond with Hazel, for Alana was freaking out, "I was giving Hazel a bath and part of her just... just f****** fell ff. I don't even know what the f*** this is!" Barr explains how his species works to her, yet another clever role-reversal in SAGA where a loving grandfather can give a nervous mother of a newborn invaluable parenting advice. Chapter 11, "Yeah, yeah, so my mom and dad used to have sex." Again, Alana and Marko being intimate drives SAGA forward, it's not the kind of funky doodle Nightwing was doing with Starfire for over a decade where there was no possibility of pregnancy; these two fugitives had a baby while on the run - this is why we're all here, folks. Marko tries justify his trying to knock Alana up but she's not having it, "First of all, we're not free, we're hiding on a f****** rooftop on f****** Cleave." SAGA is gender neutral in that it's the guy who is romanticizing their plight. Klara is trying to do the noble thing when their rocket ship is under attack, "Your father and I have lived rich lives, lives that aren't worth a wet s*** without you!" To his credit, Marko holds his parents in higher regard than cannon fodder, but loss has always been a factor in Brian K. Vaughan's stories and SAGA is no exception as Hazel wistfully explains, "I still have a scrap of the outfit he made for me." Chapter 12, we are on the battlefield where one of bounty hunters is saved by an ill-fated medic, "Wait... am I dying? Am I gonna..." BAM. That same hunter tracks down a lead for the fugitive family not yet realizing that, "We'd already been there a week," Unlike the first three episodes of Star Wars where everything we learn about the Force and the Empire feels forced and unpersuasive, this second arc of SAGA brings three generations together organically while putting the dangers at a slightly lower boil without sacrificing a sense of urgency. SAGA takes the time to blink its eyes, to breathe deeply, and to let its concepts cool down a touch. SAGA does not let its mythology choke out its humanity. STAR WARS took 3 movies to tell us about Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader: The Early Years, and it was too academic, too much spectacle and too little emotion to matter. SAGA never fails to be emotional: Brian K. Vaughan and Fiona Staples gracefully bring deep feeling into every science-fiction scenario :D

This is a highly entertaining continuation of the Saga series. When Marko’s grandparents show up and accidentally banish Marko and Alana’s ghostly babysitter onto a different world it’s up to Marco to travel there and get her back. Meanwhile Alana gets some quality time with her father in law.Marko’s ex-fiance also enters the picture and ends up joining forces with The Will. We also get some backstory on Alana and Marko and how they meet and got involved.The story is fast-paced and the illustration and color are very well done. It’s easy to follow and I am loving the characters and the action. This is a very adult graphic novel, so I would recommend for mature (17+ readers) only.Overall this was a wonderful continuation of the Saga series and I can’t wait to read the next one. I would recommend to adults who enjoy science fiction graphic novels with a lot of action and complex characters.

I completely loved this. I was enthralled the whole time learning about Hazel and the events that lead up to her creation. This world is so creative and imaginative that I'm just blown away. This is one of the best graphic-novels out, and my words won't do justice as to why I would recommend this to every living soul.The main theme in this book is the blind prejudice that all these souls have grown up believing in, because it has always been forced upon them. Everyone can take something out of this lesson, especially with all the hate this election season is bringing.Hazel being the narrator was such a genius move by Brian K. Vaughan. It is so expertly done, too. One minute you feel your heart being ripped out, the next Hazel is making you laugh out loud. Hazel's voice is perfect, and watching her journey is magical.This bind-up gives us flashbacks from the past constantly. It's done very well, and helps the reader get a way better understand at what Marko and Alana have at stake and why it's so important that love wins.

This book has a lot of useful information about natural remedies and even how to make herbal tea yourself.Illnesses are listed in alphabetical order with recommended natural remedies.The Index has herbs etc..listed also in alphabetical order with page numbers for location.Dr. Duke does provide words of caution where he feels it is neccessary.I recommend this book. The price is very affordable and the book has an extensive list of natural remedies.This book is also very well organised.

My absolute go to medicinal plant book. Dr James Duke is a PhD ethnobotanist who not only dedicated decades of his life to studying medicinal plants all around the world, but he also has a farm where he raises plants for medicinal purposes. He puts to use his knowledge in his own life, practicing what he preaches. In this book Dr Duke tells you numerous remedies for many ailments ranging from asthma, the flu, colds, gout, arthritis, diarrhea, eczema and many others. He tells you the chemical compounds found in these plants and many anecdotal stories about using them from his decades of study, research and experimentation. I have personally used many of his recommendations to treat health problems for myself and family.As a side note, I have had the great privilege of working closely with numerous Native American tribes, and many of the remedies Dr Duke prescribes are also used by some of the Native Americans I know.

A great herbal reference book for intermediate to advanced herbal practitioners who want to include a more seasoned review of herbs from around the world, their cultural usage, and Dr. Duke's personal evaluation of their effectiveness. A must have herb book. I've purchased 5 so far for my friends. Highly recommended.

This is a bit dated (from the 1990s) and is very cautious about certain herbs, but it is still a great and well-researched reference book. I keep this, along with a few more recent, as my go-to herbal references. Great book.

Book is great. Simple, easy to read and understand, full of great information. Practical knowledge to get you on your way to losing weight.

I highly recommend this book, I have read more than 10 books about healthy living and weight loss since I moved to the US, but this is the only book that gave me the answers that I have been looking for. Easy to understand for everyone.

This was the first time I ever started a "diet" on a Saturday! After spending Friday evening reading, I followed the advice offered!The next morning I set about doing a healthy life plan using Fast-Track as my planner and director. The book offers a straight forward approach to successfully making the needed changes to achieve weight loss goals. Once you set your goals, as outlined clearly in Dr. Emran's book, the plan to achieve them looks reasonable and reachable. Every week I check off another goal I have reached! It's the best plan I have ever made for a healthy lifestyle.

It is a straight up, no nonsense talk on the reality of weight loss from a bariatric surgeon. Based on his experiences and current research, his advice is right on the money with regards to healthy living.
