Fantastic book. It makes you take a good hard look at how your problem came into being and shows you how to biblically resolve it. It also makes you take a very hard look at what you role was in not helping the problem get solved and what your role was in causing the problem in the first place. You must take 100% ownership in even the small role you played because that small part was still part of the problem. I have always said unless you are part of the solution you are part of the problem. Until one comes to the realization that any part played no matter how small a part one may think it is, the other party may think your part was much larger.
I was surprised at the size of this book, not in a bad way. I finished it the same day I got it and it was filled with pretty good tips. In fact, it's a short book probably because it's all meat and no milk. This book explains how to deal with conflict in a biblical way and provides tools for preventing conflict from becoming messy or painful. Peacemaking is different from peace keeping and often as Christians we get the 2 confused. We tend to fight from the "flesh" and forget important principles that prevent relationships from eroding or new ones from beginning. Read this book and you will discover important tools and insight for walking through conflict- because "Peace is worth our greatest effort".
I like the combination of Bible versus, true stories telling (the author was a lawyer), and interpretation of Bible versus to help me how exactly to forgive, to love and to do.I like the author pointing out the difference between peace faking and peace making.There is a big chapter about forgiveness, it explains what is exactly to forgive someone. I saw the best definition of forgiveness ever in my life.This book also helps me better understand some versus of Bible, e.g: if you love your enemy, it's like putting burning coal on his head etc.Thank you!
