Loved this book which I bought for MSW program. Unfortunately it was stolen with all my notes, but a variety of authors talk about different subjects such as white privilege and economic disparity just to name a few. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in studying social policy from a variety of perspectives. Many great insights that are affecting the younger generations in our nation today.
This is one of the few college textbooks I actually enjoyed reading. Like one of the other reviewers said, "If it upsets you, GOOD! It's doing the job then."
For all of you SJWs out there - you need this!If you're more of a middle ground minded guy or gal, it's still got some interesting perspectives.This was a required buy for my college diversity course, and some of the readings can be a bit whacko, but most have good insight.Overall, recommend, especially for college kids.
Purchased for a course in multiculturalism, a fantastic book with lots of information, use as a resource because there is so much information and broken down into short chapters, 10 pages or so on each topic. I highly recommend this text.
